It seems Valentine’s Day has come around again quicker this year… wait, that happened last year and the year before. We thought we’d have so much time to prepare the perfect romantic evening but suddenly there are only few days to go. All the restaurants are booked, theatre tickets sold out, nothing interesting in cinema. How to make that one day perfect and yet different then last year. Panic, panic… well, calm down.

Take a deep breath and think about what would actually make you happy? Do you really want to be stuck on a busy tube going to and from that romantic night, and do you really want to lose a good mood when that bill comes at the end of the dinner? Or do you really want to eat that chocolate when you are on New Year’s resolution to get fit? Well remember that special day doesn’t have to be about buying, consuming and showing off.

How about that extra smile in the morning, that little soft kiss on the neck. Get up 10 minutes earlier and make a coffee, have breakfast together. I’m sure you know what their favourite morning meal is. Leave a little note about how much you love them in their pocket. Imagine their reaction when they reach to pay for lunch and find a message with a simple and yet beautiful “I love you”. Leave work just a little earlier, tidy up your home and make that amazing food they kept telling you about. Make a playlist of their favourite music
