Easter Wishes

Easter is one of my favourite holiday periods. Not only is a time when trees start to return green leaves, plans start to flower and daffodils start to appear. The days are longer and finally the sun warms our bodies but also it is the time when we can reflect, we can slow down and appreciate everything that is around us, our family, our friends, our work.

To me Easter is the time when actually you have time for yourself – you are not running from party to party, from shop to shop or being concerned you are spending too much even if it’s for the loved ones but Easter this year will be different. Some of us will be alone, some of us in the hospital, most certainly we will have to change our plans, maybe we will be sad and probably scared about the uncertain future that we have ahead of us these next 6 months.

This year instead of reflecting we are worrying,  instead of enjoying our Easter break away from our regular homes and enjoying the early spring weather outdoors we are required to stay home, instead of preparing the house for family visits we are trying to find ways to keep spirits high and be entertained while being restricted inside our homes.

Easter however is also about hope and looking forward to the future. COVID 19 will pass and this trying time will be nothing but a distant memory and that’s what I wish you the most. I hope this Easter although different will be full of hope, plans for the future, laughter with family even if only on “Houseparty”, lots of sun – even only on balcony or with an open window – you will be surprised how a living room can be perfect place for a picnic (with excellent facilities and good music on tap) and the most importantly please stay safe and healthy for many Easters yet to come!
